other through ongoing community conversations and activities. The safety and well being of our community life requires non-violent resolution of conflict.

Take Back the Night

On October 10th , the WCNV and Live for Liv Foundation will be sponsoring a Take Back the Night program followed by a candlelight vigil.

Take Back the Night is an internationally held march and rally intended to encourage communities to come together to speak out against sexual assault and domestic violence.

Presentations by

  • Liam Lowney, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance (MOVA)- MOVA is an independent state agency devoted to upholding and advancing the rights of crime victims in this state.

 

  • Malcolm Astley, -is the father of slain teenager Lauren Astley. Lauren was a young woman from Wayland who was tragically murdered by her ex-boyfriend in July of 2011, shortly after she graduated from High school.

 

  • William Kellibrew Foundation- is an international advocate for civil, human, women, children and victims’ rights. William’s story which included a great deal of violence and trauma as a child has inspired and empowered many. His story has been heard in over 120 countries with an audience well over 45 million.
